Ken Roberts was born and raised in Drayton Valley, and is proud to call it home. Ken earned his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta in 1995, and received his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in 1999 after articling at Collins Barrow. In 2003, Ken became partner of Collins Barrow Drayton Valley, which later changed its name to Carlson Roberts Seely LLP (CRS). In 2015, Ken obtained the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. As a partner of CRS Ken is staunchly supportive of local business, and believes that the success of a community stems from supporting local businesses and service organizations. Ken previously served as Chair of the Drayton Valley Adult Literacy Society, and is currently involved with Awaso Canadian Academy Foundation.
Ken has extensive experience with small business taxes and accounting, including advice for new start-up businesses, business succession and business planning. His practice is primarily made up of owner-managers of small and medium-sized private companies, and a number of local Not for Profit organizations.
When Ken is not busy working, he is an avid reader, loves to travel, and likes to try new craft beers and new wines. Ken is a wine making hobbyist, with moderate success. During the summer months Ken loves to get outdoors and work in the yard and get out camping to reconnect with nature. More than anything Ken loves to spend time with his wife and daughters.
